The Chamber contracts with
the Cities of Carrollton, Addison and Farmers Branch to develop and
implement initiatives that contribute to the enhancement of the
local economy. Through our partnership with the three cities and in
cooperation with their own economic development departments, many
activities designed to improve and grow the local economy are
conducted.
Chamber staff is in constant dialogue with city staffers in charge
of economic development to ensure that there is little duplication
of effort and that each organization’s economic development program
compliments the other. While the very broad initiatives of new
business recruitment, existing business expansion and existing
business retention are part of each organization’s overall action
plans, specific programs to accomplish these broad initiatives are
agreed upon thus utilizing the strengths and resources of each
organization.
The Chamber’s economic
development program is multi faceted and includes programs to assist
local companies in evaluating import and export opportunities.
Chamber staff can offer direct representation to local companies in
specific foreign markets. The growing global economy offers many
business development opportunities for those willing to explore
them. This assistance is just one of the activities of the
Chamber’s overall program. |
