Michael joins the chamber from a distinguished background within the chamber of commerce industry, where he most recently served as the President and CEO of the Rowlett Area Chamber & Visitors Center. During his tenure at the Rowlett Area Chamber, he initiated groundbreaking entrepreneurship training, established a groundbreaking workforce development initiative in collaboration with the Garland ISD, enhanced advocacy efforts significantly, and steered the chamber through the rigorous U.S. Chamber of Commerce Accreditation program, earning a prestigious 4-Star Accreditation.

Michael says, “I’m absolutely delighted to be a part of this exciting journey. Taking on the role of President and CEO at the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce is a privilege, and I’m eager to use my experience and expertise to lead us towards our objectives. Exciting times are ahead for the Addison, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch communities!”

Membership Relations Director

Bertina joined the Chamber after dedicating several years to advocating for small businesses in the public sector. She has extensive experience in vendor relations and leading and managing community outreach programs with several major contractors working on significant Metro rail projects in Los Angeles such as the Purple Line Project 1 and 3, the D line Crenshaw LAX project, and the LAX project.

Previously, Bertina served as the Member Services Liaison for the Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce. She is excited to work with a broader range of members in her new role, where she will be responsible for membership retention and member services.

Mary Ann Burns
Membership Development Director

Mary Ann joined the Chamber after several years in leadership roles at Truist Bank. She was eager to continue to work with business owners in the Metrocrest Community to support their growth and help them continue to thrive.

Mary Ann says, “I am delighted to be working with the Chamber and with my friends and colleagues in the business community in Addison, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch.” Mary Ann will be responsible for increasing business opportunities for our members through programming, creating connections, and assisting members with their inquiries.

Megan joined the Chamber after teaching for four years at Creekview High School. She was excited to connect with the Metrocrest Community in a new way and support the growth of our city.

Megan says, “The Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce holds a special place in my heart. I started as an intern for the Chamber 10 years ago, and I am happy to be back and serve the community in a new way.”

Serving as the Events and Marketing Director, Megan will connect with businesses about growing their connections through events, sponsorships, and communications.
